Bangkok Airways organizes CSR activity “Mangrove Conservation and Restoration with Bangkok Airways”

Trat / 5 July 2017:  Recently Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, led by Mr.Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth , President, organized CSR activity “Mangrove Conservation and Restoration with Bangkok Airways” under the campaign " Love Earth Save Earth" to cultivate a sense of conservation of natural resources for employees and company executives including local people, to jointly maintain and rehabilitate mangrove forests which is a breeding ground and habitat for aquatic animals. The participants were Yaya, Ms. Urassaya Sperbund, the representatives of government agencies, employees and the Company's management and local communities. The activity was held at Black Sand Beach and Mangrove Forest Ecotourism Center, Trat.

Mr.Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways PCL, said, "Bangkok Airways has recognized the importance of environmental issues, especially the problem of the declining number of mangroves, which has an impact on the ecosystem. The airline therefore, organizes the “Mangrove Conservation and Restoration with Bangkok Airways” to provide employees and people in communities to participate in the care of nature and the environment, included cultivating a sense of conservation of natural resources for the youth and the general public.  

“Bangkok Airways has continuously processed social responsibility projects, in particular the project which is concerned with the conservation and restoration of natural resources. The aim is to cultivate a consciousness of natural resources conservation and cherish valuable resources of the country to employees, young people, and people in communities” added Mr. Puttipong.

The “Mangrove Conservation and Restoration with Bangkok Airways”  is one of Bangkok Airways' social responsibility programs, to bring together the youth, people in community, the company's employees, and the executives, network partners, for social activities. The objective is to provide them with a valuable contribution to sustainable natural and environmental preservation.

The activity was held at Black Sand Beach and Mangrove Forest Ecotourism Center, Trat which included activities such as the release of aquatic animals, mangrove forest planting, cleaning up the mangrove forest and learning about utilize mangrove herbs.
